falling is a skill, not a failure
Learn How To Fall Safely
Designed for adults who want to move through the world with confidence, not caution.
Falls happen to everyone. With the right practice, falling can be learned and met with confidence. FallRight workshops teach you how to fall safely and recover. You will learn specific skills the body can use in real moments.

How to Fall Safely When Balance Is Lost
As we age, we’re told to be careful, avoid risk, and stop trusting our bodies. Falls become something to fear rather than something to understand. The result is less movement, less confidence, and greater fragility over time.
Falling isn’t a decision. It happens quickly, often without warning. FallRight workshops prepare the body in advance, so when balance is lost, the response is calm, coordinated, and familiar.
“Marisa’s instructions and demonstrations were clear, and her patience, humor, and ability to motivate us made her classes not only incredibly valuable but also fun. Marisa truly is dedicated to helping all of us stay active, strong, and on our feet.”
— Sandy Friedland

Training the Nervous System and Balance Response
Safe falling isn’t about strength alone. It’s about how the nervous system senses imbalance and responds in real time. FallRight workshops incorporate science-backed nervous system and vestibular training to improve balance awareness, coordination, and recovery when the body is thrown off center.

What People Say
“A couple months ago, I was moving quickly down the sidewalk and tripped. I was surprised at how my body just flew into action to slow my momentum and cushion my landing. I now feel more confident being out and about in the world.”
— P. Jennerjohn
Answers to Your Questions
The instant you lose balance, your body has three possible pathways, in this order:
- Recover balance
- Redirect momentum
- Fall in a controlled way
Injury happens when people:
- freeze
- stiffen
- panic
- or try to “save it” too late with brute force.
Skill is knowing which pathway you’re in and responding appropriately.
This builds resilience, not fear.
